Vendor Rules and Policies:

All registration forms and vendor fees must be completed and received by the Committee to Elect Hall for Sheriff no later than Friday May 12, 2023. The Jammin’ with Jack Spring Food Fest & Concert will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 12:30-8:00pm and vendor setup will be available at 10:00 a.m. on May 20, 2023. If prior setup arrangements are required, please contact the event coordinator at events@hallforsheriff.com.

ALL VENDOR SPACES ARE PREASSIGNED! Vendors must report to the Registration Table for space assignment before proceeding to the vendor area. A space registration certificate will be given to each Vendor and must be kept in the space and available for proof of registration if requested by the Vendor Coordinator. All vendors must be registered no later than 11:30 or risk losing their space and/or space assignment. Vendors are not permitted to leave the event early. Your signed contract dictates that you must remain in your space and open for business until 8:00pm. Tear down and clean up of your space will begin at 8:00pm. Vendors are responsible for the cleanup of their space and must remove any trash. All equipment, merchandise, products and trash must be completely removed by 10:00pm. Any vendor whose tables remain unoccupied at 11:30 am and has not contacted the Vendor Coordinator with sufficient reasoning are in breach of contract and forfeit their spaces. In the event an adjacent vendor does not show, a registered vendor may rent the space(s) for $20.00 each after 11:30 am.

VENDOR LICENSE: Qualifying vendors are required by law to acquire an Ohio Transient Vendor’s license. Transient vendor licenses are required of retailers who transport stock of goods to temporary places of business in order to make sales. The license is issued by the Department of Taxation and valid throughout the state.  Transient vendor licenses may be obtained by filing out form ST-1T from the Ohio Department of Taxation website www.tax.ohio.gov/divions/sales_and_use/license.htm. There is a one-time application fee of $25.00. Alternatively the form can be obtained through the mail by writing to the Department of Taxation P.O. Box 182215 Columbus Ohio 43218-2215. You can also call them directly at 1-888-405-4039.

Each space (non-food truck) will be 15×15 and rent for $30 per space. A non-food truck vendor may rent more than one space for an additional $30. Those vendors renting more than one space will be placed adjacent to each other. Food truck spaces will be 25×25 and rent for $100. Additional food truck spaces may be rented for an additional $100 and will be placed adjacent to each other.

A completed and signed Vendor Contract, a signed Release of Liability and Indemnity Form, a signed Rules & Regulations Form and the Vendor Fees must be received by the Committee to Elect Hall for Sheriff before Friday May 12, 2023 to be considered a Vendor and to be admitted to the vendor area.

Vendor will provide their own tables, chairs, displays or any other items needed in their booth space. Table coverings will be provided by the vendor and must be made or treated with flame- retardant material. Food trucks shall have a

Vendor space rental fees are NON REFUNDABLE and are NON TRANSFERABLE to other vendors or events. There is NO rain date. Event will proceed, regardless of weather.

MOBILE FOOD VENDORS: a food vendor must have one of the following licenses: a valid mobile food service operation, mobile retail food establishment, or temporary food service license. The mobile licenses may be issued by any health department in the State of Ohio; temporary licenses are only valid if issued by Lorain County Public Health. Food service operators must submit their applications to conduct temporary food service to LCPH by May 5, 2023. Approved temporary licenses or valid mobile licenses must be received by the Event Coordinator of the Committee to Elect Hall for Sheriff no later than May 15, 2023. Food vendors who do not supply a valid license or Lorain County temporary license to the Event Coordinator by the due date will forfeit their space and their space rental fee.  The application to conduct a temporary food service operation or retail food  establishment may be found at www.LorainCountyHealth.com. If you are provided with electrical access, vendor is responsible for any extension cords they may need. Cords must be in new or very good condition. No electrical tape covering frayed or loose wires will be permitted. Vendor must also provide something to cover any cord that is laying on open ground to prevent tripping or falling from loose cord. If you need electricity, please indicate so on your vendor application. While it is not guaranteed, we will try to accommodate whenever’ possible. Mobile food vendors have priority with electrical access.

Notice of cancellation must be received by no later than Friday, April 20, 2023 to receive a refund of Vendor Fees.

There will be a $50 charge for any check that is returned to us by the bank for any reason.
Vendors must comply with all Village of LaGrange, Lorain County and Ohio State Tax Laws and permit requirements.
No weapons are allowed in the Vendor Area. Pets are permitted in the Vendor area but must be kept on a leash and remain in the vendor space.

NO GUN SALES, NO ALCOHOL SALES, NO SALE OF FIREWORKS OR PYROTECHNICS OF ANY TYPE, NO SALES OF ANIMALS OF ANY KIND, AND NO SALES OF PORNOGRAPHY OR PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIALS OR PRODUCTS OF ANY KIND. NO ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION ON PREMISES UNLESS PURCHASED FROM THE OFFICIAL ALCOHOL SALES BOOTH.
