Please join us for this Ohio Lakeshore Community event as parents, students and neighbors gather from Toledo to Ashtabula in Eastlake to increase personal awareness of human trafficking in our region. This event is coordinated by the Lake County Collaborative to End Human Trafficking, the Eastlake Women’s Club and the Committee to Elect Hall for Sheriff.
This community training event is tailored for parents and children of middle-school age and above. The awareness training will include the age-appropriate Human Trafficking 101 with a Q & A session. A moderated panel discussion featuring law enforcement, victim advocates and forensic nursing will present upon the experiences of human trafficking and child exploitation. In conclusion, Courtney’s story will be presented – a parent’s view of the struggles experienced when their own child is trafficked.
The event will take place at Regovich’s Catering (formerly Patrician) in Eastlake, Ohio from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
