Best Ball - Included in fee
Players play in groups of four. All players drive, select the best shot and mark it. Everyone hits the next shot from this point. Repeat procedure with each shot until the team holes out. The winning team will receive $500.
Pink Ball (Alternative Play) Hole #7 - $25 per team
A team can purchase a pink ball at check-in. The team will determine a rotation at the tee (Players A, B, C, and D) and only use the assigned pink ball. Player A hits a drive. The pink ball alternates to the next player on the subsequent shots (Players, B, C, and D) and the rotation repeats until the team holes out or loses the pink ball. If the pink ball is lost, the team is eliminated from prize consideration. The team will mark a spot within two club-lengths of the general area the ball went out of bounds or entered the water hazard and resume best-ball play. After holing out with the pink ball, the ball will be provided to the volunteer and the team score recorded. If there happens to be a tie, the prize money will be split between the tying teams. Prize amount will be announced prior to shotgun start after check-in fees have been collected.
Challenge Hole: Hole #11
The challenge is to place your ball on the green in one shot. Price your challenge (maximum $10), the volunteer will collect your challenge fee. If you meet the challenge, the volunteer will return your challenge fee. If you place your ball inside the circle, the volunteer will give twice your challenge fee.
Closest to the Pin: Holes #2, #13 & #17 - $15 per person.
The traditional Closest to the Pin challenge takes place on holes #2, #13 and #17. A player can purchase this challenge at check in.
Longest Drive: Hole #4 - Included in fee
Players will compete for the longest drive on hole #4. The ball must stay in the fairway. The longest recorded drive will receive a Grey Hawk 18 hole round of golf gift certificate. There is one certificate for men and one for women.
Golf Ball Bullseye & Drive: Hole #18 - $10 per person
A Player can purchase this challenge at the 18th tee. For $10 a player can use a golf ball launcher for their drive, or for $10 a player can purchase a colored ball to launch a toward the golf bag located in the fairway. The player’s golf ball closest to the bag will take the golf bag home.
Skins Game Available: $25 per team
A team can purchase this challenge at check-in.
Food and Drink
All golf outing participants will be provided a boxed lunch at the turn and two drink tickets that may be used at the beverage carts on the course. Water will be provided in the carts prior to the shotgun start. Additional beverages may be purchased at the player’s expense. A steak dinner, which includes: salad, baked potato, and seasonal vegetables will be provided at the end of play in the Grey Hawk Nest Restaurant. Since Grey Hawk Golf Course is a licensed liquor premises, alcoholic beverages are not permitted to be brought upon the course. Dinner for non-outing participants who wish to join golfers at the end of play may be purchased separately for $45.
Each player will be provided tee gifts at registration.
Golf Outing Registration
Outing registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. on July 20th. Range balls and the practice facility will be available for players.
